Whether you love it or hate it, the iPhone has some great features. One of those is the ability to post to your WordPress blog directly from the iPhone as I am doing right now. In version 1.0 there were some issues to overcome (heck, I couldn’t even get my blog to load), but most of those issues seem to have been fixed in version 1.1 (just released today). It gives you the ability to write a post, add pictures, preview in Safari, and more. If you have a blog running on WordPress and have an iPhone, then this software is a must. Go to the app store in iTunes or on your phone to download it. Let me know how it goes for you.
This is pretty cool.
“This is a prank on a “grand” scale. Over 200 people gathered at Grand Central Station in New York to pull off a ‘frozen in place’ act. The onlooking travelers who weren’t part of the act were mystified as to what was going on.”

I don’t know much about this, but it seems very interesting. Pixel Art by EbOY
“EbOY is Steffen Sauerteig, Svend Smital and Kai Vermehr. We create re-usable pixel objects and take them to build complex and extensible artwork. And we make toys.

I don’t know about you, but I hardly ever dial 411 from my cell phone due to the $1+ charge for every use. I have tried some free 411 numbers but like Live Search 411 the best. Call 1-800-CALL-411 and you can get phone numbers, addresses, listings texted to your phone, directions, movie times, weather, and more for free. A lot of people may already know about this, but I just discovered it and wanted to share it with everyone else who doesn’t know about it.
Enjoy!

The thinnest laptop ever measuring in at .16 inches thin and starting at $1799.
“Apple just announced the .16-inch thin MacBook Air — a laptop so thin it fits in a manila envelope. The new machine features a full-size keyboard and LED-backlit 13.3-inch display with built-in iSight, and the new larger trackpad supports multi-touch gestures. Just like the iPhone, you’ll be able to pan around, pinch to zoom, and rotate with two fingers, and move windows with a flick. Apple got the size down by using the same 1.8-inch 80GB drive that’s in the iPod classic, but you’ll be able to order a 64GB SSD as an option. The Air eschews optical media, but there’s a separate external you can snag for $99 and Apple’s also announced a feature called Remote Disk that’ll let the Air get data off the optical drive in any PC or Mac running the Remote Disk software. Pricing starts at $1799, and the Air will be shipping in two weeks.”

This is a great little game where your are given a location and you have to click as close as you can to where the location would be on the map. Keep in mind that speed counts. It is pretty addicting! Click “link” below to play.

This Chinese woman has a 5 inch horn growing from her forehead that resembles the stalk of a pumpkin.

“Granny Zhao, 95, of Zhanjiang city, Guangdong province, says it first appeared three years ago.
‘At first, it was only a mole, but it gradually grew and became like a horn,’ she said.
Zhao says the horn causes her little trouble except to affect her vision slightly: ‘It causes me no discomfort, but blocks part of my view.’”

Anyone for decorative jewelry on your eyeball? Not kidding guys!
“An extraocular implant is a cosmetic implant involving a tiny piece of decorative jewelry which is implanted within the superficial, interpalpebral conjunctiva of the human eye. This procedure was developed in 2002 by the Netherlands Institute for Innovative Ocular Surgery and is marketed there under the name JewelEye. The procedure is completely legal in the Netherlands, as long as it is performed by a licensed ophthalmologist under sterile conditions. (But somehow, its being completely legal in the Netherlands doesn’t make me feel any less squeamish about it.)”

If you hate creepy-crawlies, you might want to avoid Lake Tawakoni State Park, where a 200-yard stretch along a nature trail has been blanketed by a sprawling spider web that has engulfed seven large trees, dozens of bushes and even the weedy ground.
But if you hate mosquitoes, you might just love this bizarre web.
“At first, it was so white it looked like fairyland,” said park Superintendent Donna Garde. “Now it’s filled with so many mosquitoes that it’s turned a little brown.
“There are times you can literally hear the screech of millions of mosquitoes caught in those webs.”
